Discovery & Ideation
We navigated the complex brief by designing a Conversational Object. Used in a client workshop, this tool revealed hidden ecosystem dynamics and sparked new ideas.
Paired with our benchmarking of collaborative games, these three pillars—Domain Knowledge, the Conversational Object, and Benchmarking—shaped our initial ideas.

Play Testing & Iteration:
The design matured through two testing cycles, moving from mechanical usability checks to simulations with actual stakeholders. This iterative loop drove five critical updates:
Versatility (Phase 1): Swapped static text for movable "Stage Indicators," making the board adaptable for future scenarios.
Cognitive Load (Phase 1): Merged separate cards into double-sided tokens, reducing visual clutter and streamlining decisions.
Tactile Flow (Phase 1): Rescaled the grid and drop-zones to ensure physical components fit comfortably.
Visual Context (Phase 2): Stakeholders struggled to recall roles, so I added Stand-up Role Badges to anchor identities during debates.
Open Agency (Phase 2): To empower players beyond the fixed script, I introduced "Wild Cards" (blank tokens) for custom strategies.
